First off I must defer to the greater power. God the Creator has seen fit to put a passion for music in me and I thank Him. It flows from who I was made to be. I don't scrape it out. I appreciate the opportunity to work with the members of E3 to bring it to life. I value their contributions to the projects; it's completely a combined effort. Each moment of life is a song waiting to be written. Life, no matter how wonderful or terrible, paints a picture in amazing, startling colors. It begs to be put to music. Every song ever written is about the beauty in life, or the evil in life - sometimes the twain mixed. Some people praise the beauty and others praise the ugly - but only because they don't recognize where that road ultimately leads. In the music we play, and have yet to write, we seek to gaze in awe at things true and beautiful, besiege the towers of evil, and perhaps most of all to portray the battles within the heart of man; to seek peace on the side of truth. And since most of the cretures listening to our music will be humans I believe that much of this will hit close to home. Oh, and when it comes to the melody/music end of it, most of the time, a good tune floats by and I grab it. |
I had no plans for becoming part of a rock and roll band. I was pulled into it by my older brother Elijah. A lot of kids talk about how they would like to start a band but I'd never really thought much about it. I liked music but had no experience and I could not play an instrument of any sort.
The credit for the creation of the band goes entirely to Elijah. I had earlier agreed that I would learn to play bass for a rock band so when he decided we were going to start a band, I bought a bass guitar. Self taught by the use of books and CD's I have a unique - "self styled" - approach to playing. I have started on the basics of piano to help in reading music but I've found that I rarely use it in writing and playing E3 songs. It's what I love about playing our own songs. We can be very unconventional.
I began to contribute to E3's growing catalog of songs in the second year. I strive to write songs that will have an impact on the listener so the lyrics are very important to me. A variety of topics occupy me in song writing. There is really nothing you cannot write a song about. We don't intend to confine ourselves. While music is the project I have taken the greatest distance I still keep up with art and writing. Much of my work is published on the web at TheWorldInOnePlace.com and at PegasusJournal.com. |
Is this supposed to include stuff like my favorite food, what sport I like, my hobbies, etc? That's what your NOT going to hear from me. As to my age - what do you think? I'm not over 30 years of age if that's what you mean. Well, that's basically it. Thank you. This has been very...DUMB! Ha, ha. You thought that I was going to say it was fun and all that jazz. Anyway, as I was saying...is anyone out there? |
